What is Ban(ana)?


Ban(ana) is designed to help communities protect and manage their users through moderation, automation, logging, and other management tools.


Ban(ana)’s features may change over time as we introduce new features, improve existing features, or remove features that are no longer supported.


Terms of Ban(ana)


By using Ban(ana), you agree to follow Discord’s Terms of Service, Community Guidelines, and all applicable laws. Ban(ana) should be used responsibly and only for its intended purpose.


Ban(ana) Should not be Used For:


  • Harassing, Threatening, Abuseing, or Intentionally Harming Others

  • Conducting Scams, Fraud, or Other Malicious Activity

  • Use Third-Party Bots, Software, or Services to Disrupt, Interfere, or Negatively Affect Ban(ana)’s Operation

  • Impersonate Ban(ana), Misrepresent your Affiliation with Ban(ana), or Falsely Claim to Represent the Service

  • Attempt to Gain Unauthorised Access to Ban(ana), its Systems, Accounts, or Data

Server Responsibility


Server staff are responsible for how Ban(ana) is configured and used within their community.


This Includes Selecting:


  • Protection Channel

  • Logging Channel

  • Notice Reason

  • Moderation Action

  • Moderation Reason

  • Message Cleanup Period

  • DM Moderated User

  • Warning First Mode

  • Exempt Roles


Server staff are responsible for ensuring Ban(ana) has the Discord permissions required for the features to work.


Automated Moderation


Ban(ana) monitors configured channels and automatically responds when users sends messages within them.


Depending on Server Configuration, Ban(ana) May:


  • Delete Messages

  • Ban Users

  • Timeout Users

  • Kick Users

  • Warn Users Before Taking Action


Ban(ana) cannot guarantee the detection of every compromised account or unwanted message, nor can it guarantee that its automated moderation actions will be accurate or successful.


Message Cleanup


When enabled, Ban(ana) can automatically search channels for messages from affected users and attempt to remove them.


Cleanup may cover messages from the previous 1 hour, 6 hours, 12 hours, 24 hours, 3 days, or 7 days, depending on the server’s configuration.


Ban(ana) cannot guarantee that every message will be detected or removed. Message availability, permissions, channel access, API limitations, and other technical factors may affect the message cleanup.


Warning Mode


When Warning Mode is enabled, Ban(ana) may issue a warning the first time users trigger the protected channel rather than immediately applying the configured moderation action.


Server staff are responsible for enabling and configuring this feature. Ban(ana) cannot guarantee that users will be warned first before action is taken.


Direct Messages


When enabled, Ban(ana) may send users private messages after moderation actions or warnings. Messages may include the actions taken and the configured moderation reason.


Ban(ana) cannot guarantee that direct messages will always be delivered, as delivery may be affected by settings, privacy restrictions, blocked users, or other factors beyond Ban(ana)’s control.


Moderation Logs


Ban(ana) may send moderation logs to logging channel selected by the server staff.


Logs Information Includes:


  • Username and ID

  • Channel

  • Action Taken

  • Results

  • Messages Deleted

  • Cleanup Period

  • Moderation Reason

  • DM Delivery Status


Server staff are responsible for selecting an appropriate logging channel and controlling access to the information contained within it.


Discord Permissions


Ban(ana) requires certain Discord permissions to perform certain features.


Removing, restricting, or denying required permissions may prevent Ban(ana) from operating correctly.


Ban(ana) is not responsible for failed actions resulting from insufficient Discord permissions or other server configuration issues.


Third-Party Services


Ban(ana) operates through Discord and may rely on Discord’s APIs and other third-party services.


Ban(ana) is not responsible for outages, changes, restrictions, limitations, or interruptions caused by Discord or other third-party services.


Changes to third-party services may affect Ban(ana)’s functionality.


Availability and Reliability


Ban(ana) is provided on an ongoing basis, but uninterrupted availability is not guaranteed.


Ban(ana) may experience downtime or reduced functionality due to maintenance, updates, technical issues, outages, third-party service disruptions, or other circumstances beyond our control.


Suspension and Termination


We reserve the right to restrict, suspend, or terminate access to Ban(ana) when reasonably necessary.


Suspension or Termination Includes:


  • Violation of Our Terms

  • Abuse or Misuse of Ban(ana)

  • Security Concerns

  • Interference with Service

  • Circumstances Affecting Operation of Ban(ana)


Disclaimer


Ban(ana) is provided as moderation and server-protection tool.


Ban(ana) does not guarantee that it will detect or prevent every compromised account, malicious message, scam, spam message, or other unwanted activity.


Ban(ana) also does not guarantee that every automated moderation action, message cleanup operation, DM, or log will be successfully completed.


Changes to Terms of Service


These Terms may be updated from time to time to reflect changes to Ban(ana), its features, or applicable requirements.


Any changes to these Terms will be reflected by an updated date. Continuing to use Ban(ana) after the Terms have been updated, you agree to the revised Terms, where permitted by applicable law.
